Using Adobe Illustrator I also created the Waypoint branding and logo for the glove and its website. The image below shows the development of the branding in stages.

1. At first I thought of a basic design concept for a logo with an illustration of the orb and its socket drawn directly over the hand to represent how the Waypoint is used and its ergonomic design. However Danny came up with the idea of just the orb and the socket to be the logo, which I thought was a good idea, so I got rid of the hand silhouette in the second design.

2. For the second design I stuck with the orb and socket for the main part of the logo, and I made a few minor changes to make the logo more accurate and stand out more. Since the Waypoint design also included three rings, I wanted to include a representation of these, however I drew a bold crescent shape resembling instead. The brand of Waypoint is supposed to have a sleek, modern, clean feel to it, and I wanted to be consistent with this idea. I also added a faded border (black to white) around it to make it stand out more.

3. Next I added this logo to some surrounding text and put it all together to create a logo with the name 'Waypoint' in it. I used a font from the website dafont.com named 'moderna' which I think tied in well with the modern/futuristic aspect of our brand. As well as this I underlined the logo with a straight black line, and use a blend effect at around 50-60 degrees to create the faded 3D effect. Before this design I had to edit the text spacing and the blend effect to make a clean but eye catching effect. I also decided to include the drawing of the hand silhouette seemingly placing a waypoint marker onto the logo, to help communicate what the product was all about.

4. To make this logo more consistent with the modern feel of the brand and product, I trimmed off the borders of the underline and once again removed the hand silhouette to keep it simple.

5. Finally, with the completed logos (2 and 4) I created a company logo for Waypoint Industries with a simple clean font along the bottom for the website.

For the website (https://2008737.wixsite.com/waypoint) design I was mainly in charge of the colour scheme and designing graphics for it. The whole team contributed in different ways on the website; Danny was in charge of the layout, writing text and adding the images, posters and graphics that I created, Natasha also wrote some of the text on the Waypoint website and Zoe was responsible for creating the Waypoint advert featured on there.
