Location - Walderslade Woods

For the next part of my film I wanted to film somewhere which was eerily peaceful, mysterious and rather desolate, so I visited Walderslade Woods which is not far from my house at all. It os also convenient as I walk through there almost every day. I really also liked the idea of potentially having a natural setting, as opposed to an everyday location such as the town centre, because it felt more surreal and unnerving.

The atmosphere of the woods made it a good choice for the film. Since I was younger the woods always seemed so gigantic and endless, which is reminiscent of the strong feelings of longing and great sadness in the film. It also makes sense to go out for a walk in the woods after you feel stressed as it is something lots of people do because it is good for your mental health, so I believe it ties in with story nicely.

Below are all the scenes in the film that would happen and be filmed inside the woods; especially the key part where she rediscovers the buried necklace. After this bit this leads to the flashbacks and the ending part.
