Illustrator Tutorial

We learned how to use the basics of Adobe Illustrator. This included how to draw lines, angles and a variety of 2D shapes, using the program's tools. I drew a three random shapes and triangle using these. In addition to this we played around with texts and effects - specifically the blend effect on the words 'Lorem Ipsum' the first two words of the default text on Adobe programs.

As seen below, I enlarged the font and made it more bold in the first one. In the second I changed the colour from red into black using a different font. However in the the third we used an editing technique to change the number of 'steps' - the copies of words in the blend - and also to change the path or the 'spine' . As you can see I did go a bit overboard with this technique and used 300 steps, which in retrospect may have been a little too much as opposed to 15.
