Tasks 3 and 5: 30 second film & Free Writing

For the summer project; tasks 3 and 5 were supposed to be linked together. Task 3 is be a video of me performing a cover of a song using the lyrics and words from what I wrote for Task 5. Using my studio equipment I have at home - including the Behringer XM8500 microphone, the UM interface and my Macbook (Garagrband on Apple) and Bluetooth speakers.

The video is a clip of me singing along to a song 'Death Bed (coffee for your head)' a song by Powfu that became a viral song over Tiktok with my own lyrics instead. The reason for this song specifically is because I thought that it made me think about a girl I used to be very close with who suffered with mental health issues and how I tried to look after her. I am planning to record it with a friend who will sing the chorus over my verse, almost like syncopation.

For Task 5, I wrote down thoughts and feelings at diffferent points throughout the summer and stuff that I felt I had to say about one of my previous relationships in my life with a girl who I loved a lot who suffered with severe mental health issues, such as depression and anxiety and dealing with the aftermath and how it affected our relationship. I wrote all of this down in the Notes app on my phone and I am still in the process to writing and recording the lyrics.
