We experimented and learned about kinetic typography, which is essentially animated text. We used a program called Adobe Aftereffects.
Firstly we used 2D animation techniques such as rotation, positioning, opacity, scaling and anchor point (like the origin on a graph - the position in which all the effects happen from), and then we learned how to use 3D effects, including rotating and flipping. The exploding effect ('shatter') wasn't used in my poster as it made it harder to see the writing and I wanted to keep the message as simple and direct as possible.
Using these techniques from Adobe Aftereffects, I created two animated posters tying in to the propaganda project - on the subject of anti-racism. I used Adobe Aftereffects to create both of these - one I kept very plain and simple, however my final one included a lot more effects, moving text and sound to create a powerful yet evocative message.
