For these anti-racism logos, I designed them rather like they were posters - as I included bits of text as well as the visual effects. As usual I kept to a simple, straight to the point approach, just like the sandwich boards, however these are not hand made - this time I opted to make use of Adobe's digital software. Throughout the designs I have used a fading border effect to show the emphasis on the positioning of these images.

For the initial board I sketched three side profile view of a gender-neutral figure and added skintones to them, as a representation of race. The layout of these images has many different meanings - all with the uncoloured version above all else. For instance it represents the idea that we should prioritize no colour above all - we are all equal. We are one.

For this design I edited Instagram's blank profile picture icon to have a middle finger under the caption, 'f*ck racism', which sends a straightforward message to the viewer. I decided to make a link into social media, because stories of racism often circulate online. There is also the idea of using one's voice (on social media) that I'm putting across using the blank profile icons - as it doesn't matter who you are this message should be heard by everyone - to accept everyone regardless of their skin colour.

On this final design I tried to promote the idea of inclusivity once again with different colours of hand outlines this time overlapping each other, to give a sense of closeness and acceptance. I think this is perhaps the most important one as it communicates the message in a gentler way like this. It almost looks like the three hands merge into one colourless one which promotes, once again, the idea of not seeing colour essentially and not seeing anyone differently because of it. Hence the accompanying text of 'we are all the same, we are all human.'
