Contextual Research & Inspiration p3 - Links to the 'Stranger Things' Universe

For the final part of my research, and possibly the most important part of it; is about the Netflix TV series Stranger Things. A sci-fi/drama/horror, it follows the story of four young friends, Will, Lucas, Mike and Dustin who play a board game similar to D&D and accidentally summon a supernatural entity from an alternate dimension to steal Will away from them. They must use the help of Eleven, a Russian orphan who was born with supernatural powers to help fight against the Demagorgons from the board game to get their friend back.

I feel like this show has had a tremendous influence over the plot of this film project; as it is about a hellish identical dimension which they call the 'Upside Down'. My film however is simply about an alternate dimension with a different person in each world; in my project, however there are many links to the series and many ideas inspired by it.
