For our final task of the year we created our own displays of our work to show other artists in our pathway group, like a small exhibition. My work was set up on my desk (although this was the same as the work already posted on my instagram) as well as the walls outside our room.
I printed 1 piece of work in large print (the ink blot work) and printed each of the 3 ink blot portraits on paper and on acetate) and lastly I printed 4 of the versions of my 'she took my heart' collage on paper and 7 on acetate. In total this is 18 different prints (or 21 if you count my large print work as 4 separate ones) - which sounds like a lot - and was certainly way more than the magnets could hold up - but it really helped me to experiment with the different methods of realising digital artwork and how it could look. I had initially just planned to print out everything on paper, however experimenting with the acetate for this was very useful as I could layer pieces of work together and see what the created.
I used magnets to stick the first part of my work up, but then I had to use scotch tape for the rest of my work as we ran out. Here was my final display as well as some of the feedback I received:

At first I wasn't too keen, admittedly, on this task, as I had never considered myself a curator, as such. But in general I feel as though as I am a very creative person, and if there is a task to do that requires creativity, I feel like I can excel at it and enjoy it, so I decided to give it a try. Unsurprisingly I was able to find something I enjoy about it, which was arranging my work how I wanted it. This was rather interesting to me, because up until that moment I had considered all my work as separate pieces, and it never crossed my mind how they could work together. As shown below I experimented a bit with the prints I had. I don't think the initial layouts I tried looked that good and kind of random, but it is always good to document the process.
I already had quite a few photos all over the place, but when documenting this on my instagram account and this blog, I ended up with a lot more photos as I manipulated them using photoshop. In this contact sheet there are nearly 60 different images with a few different versions of each. In some of these versions I altered the brightness, contrast and saturation to make the colours bolder and clearer; also to fix some lighting issues (specifically overexposure) when taking a photo of my work.
